Growing up on a fifty acre farm in rural New Brunswick brought many wonderful memories. My mom loved to garden, both vegetables and flowers. Some were perennials, others we planted each year with great joy and pride. The blooms surrounded our home with brilliant elegance.
The groves of tiger lilies were especially welcomed by all when they walked up the steps to our veranda. The color from the lilies actually reflected onto each face commanding a smile from all.
So when I had a client ask me for a donation to a charitable organization, I said sure, I’d love to do a painting. Thus began my painting journey and without hesitation I chose the tiger lily.
That was twenty four years ago and I’m just as passionate about painting now as I was then.
